Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

ProcedureThis surgery flattens the abdomen by removing excess fat along-with skin and tightens muscles of the abdominal wall. The surgery is particularly helpful to those ladies who, through multiple pregnancies, have stretched their abdominal muscles and skin beyond the point where they can return to normal. The loss of skin elasticity in older patients, which commonly occurs with obesity, can also be improved. It is probably the best solution to reduce the post pregnancy stretch marks.
Duration of Surgery2 to 4 hours.
AnesthesiaSpinal/general, or local with sedation.
HospitalizationDay case or an overnight stay, depending on individual circumstances and extent of the surgery.
